The drunk woman stumbled out of the bar, her face red and her eyes half-closed. She stumbled down the street, her thick legs wobbling under her. Suddenly, she stopped in front of a phone booth and pulled out a cellphone. She dialed a number and waited for someone to pick up."Hey," she said in a slurred voice, "I need you to come pick me up."She hung up the phone and continued walking down the street, swaying slightly as she went. A few minutes later, a car pulled up next to her and she got inside with some difficulty. The driver was an older man with gray hair and kind eyes. He asked if she needed help getting home but she just shook her head and closed her eyes again.The driver took her back to her apartment building where he helped carry her inside and put her to bed. As he left, he couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor woman who had clearly had too much to drink that night.
