One day, the ship encountered an asteroid field and the AI decided to take control of the ship's navigation system to avoid any collisions. However, as they navigated through the asteroids, one of them exploded and sent debris flying towards the ship. The pilot quickly reacted by activating the turquoise crystal in their spacesuit and using it to create a force field around them just in time. The force field deflected most of the debris but one crystal managed to penetrate through and hit one of their passengers on their forehead. As they looked at each other with concern, they realized that this passenger had grown purple skin from being exposed to too much radiation from outside sources. They decided to take turns using their crystals on them until they could find a way back home safely without causing any further damage or exposure risks.
